The Power of Great Words … Aurora to Effervescence, Ineffable and Syzygy

Words can be incredibly powerful … they can be curious and distinctive, evocative and inspiring. They can tell a story, make people stop and think, and be incredibly memorable.

As a keynote speaker, I have learnt to value the power of individual words. Sometimes you can put one word up, and talk for 30 minutes about it, probably with more impact than a load of diagrams and weaker messages.

Business leaders have the same challenge – everybody hangs on to their words. Use less, and use them better. Think carefully about the choices you make. Don’t just talk. Consider the emotions, the behaviours, the impact you want to have.

Similarly as an author, words really matter. In particular for a book title. Why should anybody spend their time reading your 300 page narrative? The determining factor is usually the title, sitting on the shelf, but standing out in a glance.
